Our Story
Three generations of devotion
Shivmudra Arts was founded in 1998 by Shri Vishnu Kadam, a master sculptor whose family has been shaping Ganesh murties in Satara for over seventy years. What began as a small workshop in Powai Naka is today a beloved name across the Satara district — serving families, housing societies, offices and Ganesh Mandals with equal care.
The craft, unchanged
Every murti is hand-sculpted from Shadu Mati sourced from the banks of the Krishna river, or from fine POP for the grander mandal idols. Ornaments are painted individually with a fine brush — no two murties are ever identical.
Our sculptors begin work in early Spring, and each idol takes 6–8 weeks from clay to consecration. We take on a limited number of orders each season to preserve the quality that families across Maharashtra have come to expect from Shivmudra.
